Where can I find my NHS number?

Your NHS number is a 10-digit number that usually looks like this: "485 777 3456". 

You can normally find it on letters and documents received from the NHS including prescriptions, test results, hospital referrals or appointment letters. You can also find it online using the NHS "Find your NHS number service", through the NHS app or through GP services.

There may be two numbers on a letter you have been sent about your care. The other is likely your hospital number.
